Physiotherapist

I’ve always had a passion for technical things, moving parts. On the other hand, I’m also a true people person, and physiotherapy brings both together.

I’ve always had a passion for technical things, moving parts. On the other hand, I’m also a true people person, and physiotherapy brings both together. I find the human body fascinating and interesting, and that’s why I chose physiotherapy. I have a particular affinity for knees and shoulders. It’s fun working with different people. Everyone has a unique story, and that’s something that has always touched me in my profession. I spend a lot of time on the patients themselves, rather than just on their complaint. People often have no idea what caused their complaint. I enjoy getting to the bottom of this. I try to understand the patient; that’s what I find most important. From there, I determine how best to help the patient.

I believe a nice cup of coffee is essential during our first appointment. We'll sit back and relax together, and I'll let you tell me what's going on; I'm a good listener. I'll try to ask the right questions so I can figure out the source of your complaint. Once that's clear, we'll get started!
I develop a treatment plan in collaboration with the patient. The plan must be a good fit for the patient. When we both agree on the plan, I'm thrilled. We'll work together to reduce the complaint, and I like to give the patient the lead role in this.
Curiosity is a quality I frequently apply in my work as a physiotherapist. I also find eagerness to learn very important; I continually develop myself. Occasionally, a patient comes to see me whose complaint I don't fully understand. I might choose to give them some exercises, but I prefer to consult with colleagues about the most appropriate treatment. This way, I deliver quality care to the patient.
